your never supposed to stretch before any type of workouts. you get warmed up first by doing movements and warming up the body. stretching cools down the muscles and tears it aswell. alot of atheletes get hurt from stretching before a sprint or other physical exercises. after your done exercising then you can stretch. but never before.

I’m with anwi15, I think you should cover up the area causing concern. In this case a strong plastic bag wrapped around his head should surfice. After a minute or two the offending individual should have expired resulting in a dramatic reduction in the amount of BS being communicated & generally making the World a better place. Right that said, I’m off to do some stretching. Think I’ll try twisting my lower leg around at 180 degrees in order to improve knee flexibility :-) SERIOUSLY DON’T

  10. campusmang Says:

yes,we get oxygen not only through our mouth but through our skin as well. if you cover up the pours you wont be sucking in the amount of oxygen needed.kinesiotape icy hot/patch.they all cover up the pain.not fixing the problem, often times climbers experience muscle imbalance, state of the art exercise shake machines work out most kinks like tennis elbow and golfers elbow.

  11. anwi15 Says:

hmmmm, never knew muscles could breathe. lol. The sleve would increase the hyrdostatic pressure which would move more blood which contains oxygen. go back to your mens health article.

  12. campusmang Says:

ps, stretching your fingers for 2 seconds wont do anything. a full stretch is 90 seconds

  13. campusmang Says:

yeah cover up the area so it cant breathe as well

pfftt, such a western form of therapy to cover up the pain.

why not fix the problem! oh hey there is an idea, balance the muscles out with other exercises. since the flexor muscles in your arm get worked out while climbing just exercise the extensors on top of your forearm!!!! like omg!!
    he said tendons don’t stretch-lol.

  14. campusmang Says:

    OOHHHHH BURN!!!!!!1111

    pfftttt

  15. anwi15 Says:

well i dont think that was his aim, he says elbow. it just cant stretch and the point it gives is the shoulder. but all the tendons and cart is being demolished. the other stretches are his own way of doing it, but there still wrong. they stretch the carpel. he is saying forarm.

  16. Pirlouit1 Says:

Got to define what you want to stretch. Last one could be considered as an supinator stretch, but the main suppinator is the biceps brachii and he don’t put the biceps into extension, since the muscle is at a normal course at the shoulder joint.

  17. anwi15 Says:

The radius and the ulna (the lower arm bones) criss-cross each other, technically he is giving himself tennis elbow.

This repetitive motion puts strain on the cartilage, ligaments, and tendons surrounding the elbow joint and can lead to swelling, inflammation, or tissue damage.

  18. anwi15 Says:

yea, the elbow one is fairly dangerous. you cant stretch tendon’s. just going to hurt himself. get a nice tight elbow sleeve if you have pain. Never twist a joint. the others are good to prevent carpel tunnel.

yeah, but some ppl will take this video as a fact, will use thoses advices and hurt themselves. Opening a stretching book to know the stretching basics is not that complicated :)

  24. Pirlouit1 Says:

A good stretching goes at LEAST for 15 sec per segment, and should go for a 30 sec. Under that its completly useless. And that thing you do with your elbow, is putting your fascia chain into tension, witch take at least 2 min to be effective. You should learn pronation and suppination stretches, and especially biceps strethes, since that muscle work a lot again pronation.
Lurn how the body work before advising ppl. You might be a good climber, but you know nothing about the muscular system.
