I need more route beta for the online climbing route database on ACBrowser. I have received lots of data for Lincoln Lake and some for Mt. Magazine. I still need to enter the data. You can always add the data yourself on the submit climbing route page.

Another person asks about training courses for beginning rock climbing. Melissa, you did not mention what area of the state you are interested in finding courses. If you are in the Fayetteville area, go to Pack Rat in Fayetteville. I know they have a couple of beginner courses twice per year, maybe more. If you are closer to Little Rock, you have to check out Little Rock Climbing Center, also follow them on twitter ( @LRclimbing ) for local updates. There are a few other indoor rock gyms in the Fayetteville area.

One of my favorite places to climb in Northwest Arkansas is Lake Lincoln. There is a wide verity of climbs to choose from including trad, sport and bouldering.Lincoln is a small town, but they do offer a few places to eat and is close to Fayetteville.
